Alumni

I majored in Political Science at Antioch. My classes grew the breadth and depth of my knowledge while strengthening my dexterity to argue my perspective with classmates and professors alike. But it was my co-op education experiences – from nonprofit advocacy organizations to foreign political parties – that allowed me to apply and to test the knowledge gained in the real world.

Alumni

Antioch College is a pioneer in the work/study, experiential form of education. I was able to explore career options before I made a commitment to a course of study. While on CO-OP, I worked as a social worker in New Hampshire and a research assistant for Planned Parenthood in New York.

Simply put, my life, both professional and private, would have been vastly different if I had attended any other college or university. The diversity of co-op jobs, a year abroad studying in Israel before, during and after the 6 day war, a Summer of study in Guanajuato, Mexico and a job in Leticia, Colombia opened new horizons.
