Student reviews

Professors

Student

The art academy is an amazing school, so far, I've had great experiences with teachers and staff especially because of the small class sizes it makes every class feel personal and engaging. A negative to this Tho is that because the school is so small there is not many extraocular such as sports available to anyone to do.

Student

AAC is just the right size for me, was an easy fit and adjustment from high school. The course offerings are prefect for my photography major and allow me to learn and develop my skills and knowlegdge. The staff is very supportive and encourages us to explore different areas of interest and to step outside our comfort zone in a constuctive manor.

Student

Super good school with amazing professors ready to help you even if you are still undecided with what you want to do in your future.

Campus and vibes

Sophomore

My experience at the art academy was a challenging but very rewarding process everything that I've learned from the classes I had my ups and down about school but it provides student mental health counseling, art events, tutoring, and many more if you want to pursue your artistic career the AAC is the place. During freshman year I was feeling out of place numerous times but the community there is so tight you can get help right on the spot and many seniors offers help to those who need it and the school has a active alumni who are also there to help!

Student

The academy's facility is outstanding, providing ample space and resources for artistic exploration. The regular events and art shows, coupled with workshops and insightful Q&A sessions featuring renowned artists, add immense value to the learning experience. These opportunities not only broaden our artistic horizons but also foster connections within the art community.

Student

Amazing staff and faculty. The academy if prestigious and always on the cutting edge. Amazing faculty and student relationship. I genuinely have no complaints regarding the academy. Other than maybe parking available for students, but parking is hard to come by anywhere in downtown Cincinnati.

Student

AAC has a lot of untapped potential. All departments lack diversity in faculty and approaches to teaching art/art history. There is very little to no communication from the business offices about things such as tuition costs and financial aid. It is also difficult to get accommodations if you are a disabled student.

Cost and value

Sophomore

I’m a sophomore here right now. About to not be (transferring). While the professors and academics are quite good, everything else is not. The financial aid department is absolutely terrible. Twice now, they have tried to sneak in completely random charges of thousands of dollars and would not remove it until I got my parents involved.

Student

Teachers are passionate and interesting, everyone is friendly, but even with scholarships it's ridiculously expensive.
