The academics at Bard are something you will not really find at other school. Their emphasis on small classes, and interdisciplinary learning has really helped to provide me and every student with an engaged and well-rounded education. Although the campus can seem a bit isolating, due to its location and the lack of proximity to major towns or cities, the student activities office and campus life really help to make sure that there is always things to do.

The campus is gorgeous, which has been one of the best parts of the school — not even joking! That’s not to say that the classes and faculty are terrible, because they generally aren’t, but the setting is definitely a standout feature. The dining options leave room for improvement.

Bard College is a beautiful place to be. The students are engaged, involved, and passionate individuals. It is an inspiring community in which to be a part. The towns surrounding Bard's campus are hip, friendly, and welcoming with incredible restaurants as well!

About Bard College

Bard College employs a security force of 31 employees, many with prior police training, to ensure campus safety. Security officers conduct routine patrols, and all residence halls are locked 24 hours a day. The college also has a memorandum of understanding with the Red Hook Police Department for on-campus patrols and issues timely warnings in the event of serious threats.
