Student reviews

Campus and vibes

Freshman

My name is Beyla Ruzindana Irakoze, I grew up in an African household in Rwanda. Coming to Calvin University was a huge change for me, the people and culture here were so different. But, I love the Calvin community, it has made it easy for international students like myself to fit in. The professors have been so great, and I... 'm really into my major Computer Science, with Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Senior

At Calvin, there is lots of opportunities on campus to get involved in various clubs and activities. They also have lots of opportunities for scholarships each year to help with the cost. The variety of food is great and the dining hall staff is very helpful when you have food allergies.

Freshman

I really like the community on campus. It is pretty small but does not get overly crowded. There are a lot of activities and organizations for students to join. Some professors are so-so and the food can be pretty underwhelming at times.

Sophomore

All of the students and staff at Calvin University are extremely kind and welcoming. I came from a large public high school and was very worried about the adjustment. Everyone at Calvin made the adjustment easy and smooth. I have met amazing friends and mentors that strive to see me succeed in school and extracurricular activities.

Student

I like the community that Calvin builds on campus. They have many opportunities to get involved and it is such a welcoming environment. The classes and schedules correlate well with work schedules and extra curricular activities.
