Student reviews

Professors

Student

There are few networking opportunities at a small community college like this. However, the professors are friendly, and the coursework is intuitive and generally in depth. There are quite a few of on-campus activities, but the events are usually on the smaller side (with the exception of major holidays).

Student

I have just recently started my college experience at Cascadia Community College, which is also connected to the University of Washington Bothell. Overall, I love all my professors. When it comes to my placement in my college classes, I seem to be struggling in my math class compared to all of my peers who seem to already know these topics.

Student

As a freshman majoring in Computer Science at Cascadia College, I’ve had a generally positive start. The class size, although small, has pretty much been to my advantage, allowing me to interact more directly with my professors to get further clarification on the computer science concepts and personal support. Also, the friendly atmosphere and cultural diversity in the student body are helping me a lot to settle down easily in college.

Campus and vibes

Student

A very interactive community. There are so many opportunities to get involved with peers and to grow your interests, alongside your academic goals. Within the challenges of our classes, social environments, and financial situations, there are as many - if not more solutions to them.

Student

This is definitely a commuter school; not designed to meet people. The purpose is to transition from high school to a 4 year University. For that, it is a great choice. It is easy to get the classes I needed. The teachers were great. The student were friendly. It served the purpose which was to get the 2 year education I needed.

Student

At Cascadia, I like how many ways there are for students to get involved in, such as the club involvement fairs, events at the ARC, and frequent tabling on campus. The math department is not very good, however. Math is a pretty tricky subject but I know a lot of students end up failing the classes simply because of the teaching style of the professors.

Student

There is a free gym, and extensive ball courts for those who like sports. The best thing about this college, however, is the shared library the campus offers. Though the resources are shared with UW Bothell, the library resources are AMAZING! If you are looking to have a relaxing college life, Cascadia is definitely the place for you.

Student

Campus life is pretty great. They have a lot of events mostly hosted by the University of Washington Bethel, but it’s open to all Cascadia students. When it comes to food I find campus food to be very expensive and you have to usually pay for a meal plan at some of the campus restaurants which I find to be way too expensive.

Student

A great community college. You won't be disappointed. Great amenities, sports, clubs, easy parking, challenging courses, beautiful parkland, great support, fun social activities on a grounds that are private with community vibes.
