When you come, research the type of college you're going to enroll in, Monte Ahuja College of Business, College of Science, etc and see what opportunities await you in your field. The professors here are very good and will go the distance in providing opportunities to students who show they really want to succeed.

Campus and vibes

As a commuter student at Cleveland State University, my experience differs from that of students who live on campus. Overall, I have enjoyed my time at CSU, and there are several positive aspects worth highlighting. To start, the university offers a wide range of resources that are extremely helpful and easily accessible. CSU is also very well organized, which has made it easy for me to navigate academic expectations and campus procedures. Additionally, the university is highly diverse, both in its student body and faculty. This helps create an inclusive learning environment.

Student

Cleveland State University is a great school because it offers strong academic programs, dedicated professors, and a diverse campus that supports students from many different backgrounds. CSU provides many opportunities for growth and success, one area that could improve is the parking pass system. Parking passes are often expensive and limited, which can add unnecessary stress for commuting students who already balance school, work, and other responsibilities.

If you decide on Cleveland State, prepare to get a preview of the real world. From seeing different types of cultures, to having to make my own decisions, Cleveland State has helped me to become more of an adult than when I was before I started college. Do not expect to see the same kind of attitudes in college as you saw in high school.

Don't be afraid to ask questions! When you go on your college visit, ask students who go there what their opinion is. They will give you the real details, telling you where to go for a good bite, where you can meet a lot of friends, which teachers to avoid, which teachers to aim for, where to get extra help, etc. Those personal questions are ones you need to ask to see if the college is right for you!
