Professors

Current Student

My experience at the College of Lake County (CLC) has been both enriching and rewarding. The nursing program has provided excellent academic and clinical training, with faculty who are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in my success. The hands-on clinical opportunities have allowed me to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, deepening my passion for nursing.

Current Student

It's a community college so it's more education than socialization and the education is very good as long as you do your research on the professors. However, the community college does have many areas and opportunities for socialization and getting to know people.

Prospective

I have this ambition to become a vet I am also vegan so my love for animals are beyond the moon. After seeing Lake county community college science majors, programs, and everything they have to offered I felt like this is a place where I can be comfortable in my own skin.

Student

The program at the College of Lake County was an exceptionally good one. Sure, I had one or two teachers who weren't my favorite, but a student will get that almost anywhere they go. The college does a great job at diversifying your education and the courses I took really opened my mind and helped me shape and form new opinions.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

Personally, im a very socially active person. back in high school, I was the president of guitar club, went to practically every other music club from Dj club to baroque ensemble, bunch of other clubs, volunteering and involvement at my previous high school. Yet CLC is lacking the social involvement that im looking for and which is such a big part of my life.

Current Student

I am so surprised at all of the opportunities there are to get involved at CLC. I was just going to get a certificate but I ended up joining a couple clubs and even joined a speech team and dance team. If you aren't sure exactly what you want to do or even if you are but are looking for a cost effective way to do it I would highly recommend College of Lake County.

Prospective

I was so stressed about starting college I came to this community college expecting the worst! but as soon as I entered the build I felt like family. From the financial talks , to speaking to my professors directly, to people helping me because I look lost.

Cost and value

Alumni

I graduated 2019 and was going to go to a university, but once I seen the cost I realized that's something I can't afford nor did I even know what I wanted in a career. Instead I got a job and focused on what interested me and founded the career I was looking for!
