Hands down ETSU was the best decision for my undergraduate degree. After some trail and error I found the degree that would set me on the career path of my dreams. I focused in Park and Recreation Management and I couldn't have made a better decision!

Student

It sounds cliche, but ETSU is fortunately true of this. If you attend class regularly and get to know your professors and put forth an honorable effort, it will pay off for you. The one day you stay after class to talk to your professor might be the one day he/she brings up a potential internship.

Student

ETSU is an excellent school. The teachers are excellent. They offer a wide variety of classes and programs online. They have great financial options/financial aid, especially if you are disabled (tuition seriously discounted if you are receiving SSI or SSDI).

Student

The College of Public Health was instrumental in helping me succeed in my current job as a health educator. The instructors are willing to assist and mentor students who put forth the effort to excel. Class sizes are small, further allowing opportunities for students to connect in a meaningful way with faculty and staff.

Student

The social work program was a great environment to grow and learn. Staff was very supportive !

Student

I absolutely love my program! Pros: - Caring and experienced faculty - Wonderful cohort - Plenty of experience opportunity (the program puts a lot of emphasis on practice as opposed to research) - A good selection of concentrations within the program (school counseling, college counseling, clinical mental health, and family/marriage counseling) -Access to tuition waivers/stipends

Campus and vibes

Alumni

As an undergrad at ETSU, I absolutely loved the small town feel of Johnson City. Everyone was very friendly, I felt safe on and around campus, and everything I needed was near by. This was my first experience away from home, and it was a great place to be.

Cost and value

Student

Very expensive. make sure your career will pay back

Student

I would pick courses that will guarantee a job after graduation. Colleges will encourage you to take classes and earn degrees that will leave you broke with no job. Be sure to choose your college path wisely.
