Campus and vibes

Freshman

Hello my name is Jose Corporan, I am a freshman that came from a High school called Hoosac School, in Albany NY. After spending 2 years in that high school and finally getting a college like Elmira I can say that the change was massive in every sense. The campus, the classes even my new friends. I feel like a made the right choice on choosing Elmira college to be my new home for the next 4 years. The way me and my friends lives is the best we could ever asked from a college.

Student

I fell in love with Elmira College as soon as I walked onto campus over 4 years ago for a tour. I certainly found my home away from home. It is a small, imitate campus where the professors care about you and want you to succeed. I am a nursing major. Unlike most colleges, the clinical experience begins in your sophomore year. This certainly gives you more hands on experience and knowledge. There are many activities on campus from sports teams, clubs and just random activities to keep the student body engaged with each other.

Student

The dorms are comfortable. Some are in need of upgrading but the college seems to be doing that slowly.

Student

Elmira College was overall fine. The school is very small, so there is lots of drama, which makes it feel kind of like high school. I went for English Literature and Theatre. Both departments were incredibly small and underfunded.

Student

The school tries very hard to be a sports school and so that's where they throw most of their money. Ironically, aside from the women's hockey team, their sports teams aren't very good.
