Professors

Student

As a graduate of highschool this past year, I was on the search for the perfect university for me. I grew up in a very small town with a very tight knit friend group. I knew I wanted a college where I could have a personal relationship with my professors and they would know me by name, not just another face amongst 300 other students in their classroom. Francis Marion University offers an open door policy where every professor has office hours so every student has the opportunity to be set up for success. It is a 15 minute walk from one side of campus to the other, so there is no getting lost and confused when you have a very long day ahead of you.

Student

I love the academic and social environment at Francis Marion University. The class sizes are small and professors are able to give more individual help and guidance that you may not receive at a larger institution. There are many events planned for the student body and socializing with peers and faculty alike is highly encouraged here.

Campus and vibes

Student

Francis Marion University holds a special place in my heart for several reasons. The university's commitment to providing a personalized and supportive educational experience is truly remarkable. The small class sizes and dedicated faculty ensure that each student receives the attention and guidance they need to succeed academically and personally. Additionally, the vibrant campus life, with its diverse range of clubs, organizations, and events, fosters a strong sense of community and belonging. The beautiful campus, nestled in a serene natural setting, provides an inspiring and peaceful environment for learning and growth. Overall, Francis Marion University offers a perfect blend of academic excellence, community spirit, and a nurturing atmosphere, making it a place I deeply cherish.

Student

I remember the first time I stepped onto the campus of Francis Marion University, the sense of excitement was palpable. The sprawling lawns were a vibrant green and the historic buildings gave off an air of scholarly tradition. Attending classes there, I felt part of a community that was both nurturing and challenging. Professors knew me by name, and their doors were always open for a chat or to offer guidance on a tricky assignment. Joining clubs and attending campus events made my college experience rich and fulfilling. There was this one time during finals week when the stress was mounting, but the university organized a late-night breakfast and therapy dogs to help us unwind. It's moments like these – the blend of academic rigor and thoughtful care – that make my time at Francis Marion University truly unforgettable.

Student

Overall, I think that is me and university is a great school, especially for students who can barely afford it. I think that they have good professors and a great support system. One thing about friends is brand that I would change is the social aspect. There's not really much to do as a school. There's no pep rallies or things that get us excited for the games. College is supposed to be an experience and a life lesson and while they are definitely teaching us about life and helping us with our future sometimes there should be more things for our experience. If someone came to me right now, and gave me the opportunity to go to any school that I could ever want to go to. Would it be Francis Marion probably not. But I'm glad I am where I am. And I'm glad that I've had this experience because it will change my life forever.
