Great school! I've learned so much, and the teachers really care about their students' education! My experience in college has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. There have been and will continue to be, many opportunities to learn more ways of improving my craft due to my time in school, which I am truly thankful for.

Current Student

Since Covid-19 all classes have been online. Students spend all day in front of computer screen watching PowerPoint lectures and videos. It is not motivating, it is a lot of pressure on the student , and difficult to pass tests due to not being engaging and hands on. It is a lot of money for tuition to self teach yourself how to be a nurse.

Current Student

I work a full time job (40+ hrs) while attending classes and have been able to maintain at least a 3.0. Galen has built in resources to help every step of the way. Nursing school is hard however the tools are here to be used. You put in the work and use what’s available you will be successful. Starting my 5th quarter this fall. Future grad loading.

Current Student

They're much more prepared, both skills wise and textbook knowledge. If you have any respect for yourself and want the best for your future, go somewhere else. Even if you have to be waitlisted, it would probably be worth it. Other private universities offer a better education for the same price, yet are not riddled with scandals and lawsuits.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

I waited until I was 38 to return to nursing school. Galen is a wonderful place to do this. The instructors will go above and beyond to help you with anything you need and I have met some of the best future nurses ever while here. It is very expensive however, there are grants and scholarships yes but getting approved for them has been harder than I imagined but I keep trying.

Current Student

I absolutely love the staff and teachers. They want you to succeed and they will do just that. I am honored and proud to be a student at Galen college of Nursing!

Current Student

Galen is a great school. I received my undergraduate degree from NSCC and was able to transfer all pre reqs in after passing the teas. Four years ago I finished my Bachelors degree at a local HBCU and let me just say Galen is top tier. From the time of application, registration, enrollment, starting classes, and reaching out for help.

Cost and value

Current Student

Second it is costly, even if financial aid, I still paid out of pocket for 2 semester, but they do have payment plan options so if you can’t pay it all in one shot they can help you. Galen does prepare you for nclex, I had a few classmates who tested for NCLEX-RN after two weeks of finishing the semester and passed the first try! So it really does prepare you for NCLEX.

Current Student

For it being so expensive it shouldn’t be having this many problems. Take this how you want and decide if your willing to take the risk but I wish I didn’t.

Current Student

The enrollment rate is high because they make money and that is the sole focus. I didn't expect it to be easy, but this was ridiculous and unfair. The other point I want to detail is that we were told catheter training was only going to be once for now because" catheters kits are just too much money for us to keep practicing for CPE check off".
