I attended Hardin Simmons my freshman year and loved the academics. However, it wasn't until the summer after that I began to see the true colors of HSU. They claim to be a Baptist university but their actions and beliefs do not reflect that. Out of the 7 professors I had, I really liked 4 of them. One of the professors that I know of is completely close minded, forces her political beliefs on you, and will fail you if you disagree with her beliefs. The president seems warm and kind at first but doesn' t actually care about you at all. The female RA's don't seem to have any interest in you or your problems, they are only focused on themselves. The dorms are okay, good size but needs updating. The majority of students there do not act like Christian students should act. You have to go to chapel, but their chapel services are useless and hardly based on biblical truth. I am no longer a student at HSU and would not recommend it to anyone.

Hardin-Simmons is great if you like being closely connected with smaller-sized group of students and professors! The staff and campus make you feel at home, and the coursework makes sure you're not just learning but involved too. I don't think I'd like to see anything changed. The people here are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the pace of life is great for whatever you're participating in!

Hi! I love Hardin-Simmons University! I enjoyed my time on campus and the friends I made. What made me love Hardn-Simmons was not the campus itself, but the people on it. Everyone is super friendly and supportive. It is easy to build community on campus if you're involved. The campus is beautiful and currently under construction to provide new opportunities for students. I looking forward to exciting new additions to campus!

What I love about Hardin-Simmons University, HSU, is that it feels like a small community instead of a school. HSU only has about 2,000 undergraduate students and due to the small number of students, it is easy to run into students of friends that you know on campus. Everyone is so nice to you, they care about you, and they love to talk to you. The staffs are also very nice and friendly to you. Not only nice, but they love you. You can just walk into their office whenever they are available, have a really nice conversation, about class or life in general.

This University is a great place if you like a smaller environment. I personally like it and most people are easy to talk to. Hardin-Simmons gives plenty of resources to students who might struggle with school. They also put on community events for students.
