I really like being a part of a friendly campus community that seems like a family. The encouraging environment has made it simple to form important relationships and advance emotionally and academically. However, there were some downsides. The education department has delayed my graduation by three semesters, which has been frustrating and stressful.

I liked Harris-Stowe from the first time I visited on my campus tour. There was a vibrancy in the air. I saw students studying and socializing in the cafeteria - smiling, chatting quietly here and laughing loudly there. This is my kind of place. I decided on that tour I was going to attend Harris-Stowe (HSSU). HSSU is a historically black university, I liked that, and oh yeah they had my major.
