Student reviews

Professors

Student

I have a hard time finding information about actual academics. Most of the information they advertise is student involvement and activities, not necessarily how to go about signing up for classes or what I need in order to graduate. Also, very small and not a lot of enjoyable things to do on campus.

Student

Hastings College is a very nice liberal arts college. Their curriculum consists of a block schedule, which is 2 classes for 8 weeks in the first block, and then so forth. I enjoy the block schedule as well as the small class sizes.

Campus and vibes

Freshman

I love Hastings College. I really felt like I was greeted with open arms when I arrived and I have met so many new people! I truly believe I have made some life-long connections and I haven’t even been here terribly long. I am also absolutely in love with the size of the college.

Junior

I love Hastings College. Being a small liberal arts school, it has it's quirks and downfalls. There are lots of little issues like maintenance not fixing various issues (or being able to), low enrollment in classes leading to them being cancelled, not a lot of variance and flexibility with degree programs, weird housing policies that were made without any input, and a few more.

Junior

It's definitely a friendly and welcoming environment. The staff here really cares about you and wants you to succeed. This school also provides many activities to get students involved whether it's something small or an event.

Student

I had such a rough experience with Hastings College. I still love it and adore the college. I want nothing more than to return to the college, even in spite of them putting me into a bad financial spot.

Student

Hastings College is an amazing institution that is very inclusive and does a great job of connecting with students. The small classes allow students to better connect with their peers and professors. I would like to see changes in the dining variety as the institution has one dining haul with limited hours and variety as well as a cafe with limited resources.

The Public Safety department ensures the safety of the community and secures campus buildings and property.
