Student reviews

Professors

Student

The courses I've taken there seem easily digestible, the administration/professors are knowledgeable and helped me learn the content. The Christian atmosphere is very welcoming!

Campus and vibes

Student

Overall i have had a great experience. All of the staff in your department know the students by name and not just a number. It leads to great lifelong relationships and lots of learning opportunity. The athletics are not great and some programs will prioritize athletics over your schooling/ major.

Student

A small school like Huntington University allows you to connect with students with all majors, backgrounds, and ages, as well as, get to know your professors. This university as also a wonderful place to gain knowledge about God as it is a Christ focused school. I enjoy how faith is intertwined with the professors teaching which allows you to grow in faith.

Student

If you can, visit the school beforehand. It helps on the decision making process. I also hear that staying the night is very helpful to quite a few people, because it gives you an idea about what dorm life and the Huntington community is like.

Student

While laptops are nice, you don't necessarily NEED to have a computer, so if you can't afford one don't fret too much. This campus has several available computer labs (with printers and scanners).

Student

Spend the night. When I spent the night here and experienced the sincerity of the student's love of Christ, and, consequentially, their Christly love for one another, which I did not experience any other place I visited, that I knew this is where I belong.

Cost and value

Student

Unless you need a cheap textbook which is easier to grab from the school bookstore, almost anywhere else is cheaper for textbooks. Although they are starting to do rental books now, so if you can, try to get a rental if you must get books from the bookstore. Otherwise, amazon, chegg, half price, and a number of other book places are much cheaper.

Student

Always check to make sure your financial aid awards have been applied. Some scholarships require your school to send a letter proving that you are a student before the school can receive the money. Our school doesn't send out this letter automatically, you have to request for them to send it. Sometimes more than once. Make sure your funds are in order.
