Professors

Current Student

The biggest and really, only, gripe I have about JC is that the majority of classes, in my experience, are online. This is largely a by-product of the Covid-19 lockdowns, but there wouldn't be an issue if the education had adapted well. Most of my classes, which were focused on Behavioral Science and Computer Networking, ended up being a 7-week each loop of read the textbook, do the quizzes, rinse and repeat.

Current Student

That has mostly made me feel like I didn't learn as much as I wanted to or should have, so my advice is make sure you either like online classes or know what you want well.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

Jackson College, as a small town college, is fine. It's cheaper than other colleges in the area and it has a lot of opportunities for student engagement, interaction, and activities. Full disclosure, I attended JC for free as a dual-enrolled student through the high school I went to, which vastly improved my experience but limited the amount of interaction with other actual college students and events I had.
