Student reviews

Professors

Student

Johnson University gave me the background in Biblical studies that I needed in order to do effective work in ministry. This school pushed me to expand past my potential, and gave me confidence in a calling I didn't deserve. Though working in active ministry is something one must learn on the job, Johnson provided me with the foundation needed in order to successfully lead people to Christ.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

Johnson University has a very supportive community, and the faculty and staff are very approachable. All students have a Bible and Theology major in addition to their professional major, so you will have to take a lot of Bible classes. Students are required to conform to a lifestyle agreement that prohibits alcohol, tobacco, and homosexual acts. I personally do not mind it, but it might be a problem for some people. JU is much more affordable than other universities I considered, and I would recommend it highly.

Student

There are hardly any downsides to Johnson. It is beautiful, affordable, small, and in a great area. The education is the highest quality, with lots of opportunities to get into classrooms and begin teaching.

Student

Our food service does a wonderful job to help accommodate those with special health needs! The food is really good most of the time!

Student

Clean dinning hall and food stations. Variety of food with fun theame days.

Student

The food in the Galley is not the best, but the grill is really good. Not a lot of options but definitely choose a food plan that allows you to have exchange meals. Its also a good idea to buy your own food and cook in the dorm kitchen

Student

You have two options: the Gally (main dining hall) or The River Grill (campus restaurant). It gets old quick, but it's fairly good quality for mass produced college food. Other restaurants are about 10-15 minutes drive away.

Student

The cafeteria food could be better, but there is also a grill in the activity center. If you don't like what's there, the school has exchange meals you can use at the grill.

Student

The cafeteria food can be iffy sometimes but the grill serves great food! The servings are kinda small in the grill, though.
