Kent State University was my number one choice while applying to colleges and I was over the moon excited to have gotten my acceptance letter last year. I was committed and ready to start a new journey towards my degree. I soon figured out I was moving to Florida and college was just way too expensive for me, so I had made my mind up on going to a community college in my new town for a couple of years before I transferred somewhere else in Florida.

Kent State University does a good job of making students feel at home. That being said, I had trouble feeling that from my peers my first year. Joining Greek life really turned that around for me. If you do not find your people at first, I highly recommend considering Greek life. It changed my life here, and it is such an empowering community.

I really like all the study abroad opportunities that Kent State offers. I also like the dorms, I feel they are pretty well maintained for the most part, and I haven't had any major problems with any other students here. I also like the large number of clubs they have here (there's over 200!!).

At Kent State, there is a community that everyone can be with. There are so much opportunity and experiences that anyone can belong to. The campus is huge but the environment has a homelike feel and people know a lot of other people. I love how you can get help very easily and that you can gain experiences along the way.

I have been at Kent State University main campus for 3 years. I love the big and beautiful campus. I also love the fact that this school has so many useful resources for academics and just for personal needs. Something I would like to see change is the requirements for class cancellations or campus closures.
