I have been attending Lamar State College with the dual credit program at my high school since 9th grade. I really enjoy this college because I love how accessible the career coaches or tutors are. Lamar State College seriously has amazing resources for student, however a problem I often had was communicating with the professors because they would either never respond or respond too late.

I love how the professors go beyond their means to help and make sure the students understand and know all of their resources they have to help have a successful and productive career and life.of learning everything they need to or that they can in the matter of time they are with the teachers.

Lamar is a great 2yr College to start a career. I experience the class and online classes and the professors are well helping professor. I graduated with my certificate and associate degree in Accounting. I am going back to receive my associates in general studies.

Honestly, Lamar State College–Port Arthur has been pretty chill. The campus is small, so you don’t get lost every five seconds, and most of the teachers are actually helpful and explain stuff so you’re not confused the whole time. It’s also super affordable, which is good if you’re trying to save money or planning to transfer later.

Lamar Port Arthur Community College is a great school for local students who are looking for a cheap way to get a degree. The small student classes allow you to focus better on classes and connect more with teachers. I will say that some buildings are older than others, making them more run down but you can tell they are working to fix that with more buildings being added.

LSCPA is a great community college for those looking for a quick degree. They also have lots of resources and scholarships for those who need help. The area is very diverse and is a great community for all.

I took dual credit courses during my junior and senior years of high school. Everything was straightforward and easy to follow from paying and getting access to their system. The only issue I had was getting online code through Seahawk Book Bundle to get into lab to do my assignments.
