Student reviews

Professors

Student

My youngest child graduated from L&C in 2025. He started his studies unsure what he wanted to pursue. I was very impressed with how the professors supported and encouraged my child to explore. He developed so much as a young adult, gaining self confidence through his study abroad experience and his academic achievements.

Student

Your mileage will vary depending on which department your degree is with and how close you are to the Portland stereotype. Do research on the professors in your department before attending, as you will likely be taking classes with them for all four years.

Student

Many professors here are well-connected in their field and truly care about your success, to the point where it outweighs the odd social life.

Campus and vibes

Student

Lastly, I will add, that the location of Lewis & Clark is amazing. Safe, beautiful, and near enough to downtown to give students internship opportunities.

Student

Student life is generally pretty cliquey. Class sizes, especially for higher-level classes, are small, and it’s easy to connect with professors. The campus is beautiful year-round.
