Professors

It’s in a beautiful location but a fair distance from anything exciting. Academically more demanding than other universities I’ve attended. Very easy to access services post graduation.

Campus and vibes

Freshman

As a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, my experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive. The campus is beautiful—being right on Lake Michigan makes it feel peaceful and unique, especially for a city school. I’ve met some really great people already, and the community feels supportive and welcoming.

Freshman

One thing I’ve appreciated is how many resources are available—from tutoring to mental health support—but it can sometimes be hard to figure out where to start. I’d like to see clearer communication around things like housing updates, registration, and campus events. It’s easy to miss things as a new student

Freshman

Enjoy my professors, my courses, the diversity, the neighborhood. The food isn’t the best campus. The facilities are in great condition and workout gym is excellent.

Student

Overall, I had a very positive experience with Loyola. Classes have been educational and I had a positive experience with the majority of professors. Campus life is very active, multiple events happening throughout the week which is great for student involvement.
