College senior

I love my major. Some of the classes seem a little tedious (MANA 2028, ACCO, and ECON) but overall they're pretty good. I would say I learned a lot through my classes and a lot of things that were applicable to my internships. There's nothing abnormal about the application process. The most important part is having good grades, and a decent SAT/ACT score. I would recommend attending the scholarship competition as a senior to try to win additional aid and meet some potential classmates.

I mean, the process itself is very organized for getting into the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. They accept about 80 out of 1200 applicants for direct admit (high school seniors applying) and then in year 3, before the professional phase begins, they accept somewhere between 2-8 students out of 80 applicants.

I was a commuter student, which made it more difficult to form relationships with peers and form study groups. Professors and Teaching Assistants (TA) were helpful, and there was tutoring available for lower-level courses. College was much faster paced than high school, which required some getting used to. Overall, I liked my experiences there and would recommend this university to others.

Learning these skills was, in many ways, the cornerstone of my first-year at Marquette and hopefully push me further in the future.

Process Was Great – The financial aid Bursar office is very helpful and if you make the effort to stop by will be no problem at all. Look at scholarship applications early so you can be on top of them when submission time comes. Also, apply broadly to programs on campus prior to attending school or at least have a good idea of what you'd like to study because some programs, i.e Physical Therapy, have a direct admission process that is difficult to get into if you do not apply as a freshman.
