My time at Muskegon Community College was my first college experience. It was a good way to transition from high school to higher education. While MCC is a college, the class difficulties were similar to those of my high school. The difference was the level of respect shown to students.

While some people think that community college is bad, I haven’t been happier that i’ve chose to go to MCC before transferring to a university. It’s helping me better prepared for the atmosphere change of class dynamics.

Winter 2025 was my first semester at Muskegon Community College. I am an older adult, and was very pleased with the entire experience. I took four classes, and all of my professors were fantastic, supportive, and knowledgeable. In addition, they offer the Jayhawk Hub, which has many resources for students, such as a food pantry, gas cards for transportation, and gift cards to local thrift stores.
