Tech is cheap compared to the other schools in the state. I think Tech's tuition and everything are reasonable. Except for their dorms. There is very limited housing in the way of dorms so they are expensive because of all the competition. However, the Socorro real estate rental market has adapted to this need and renting is a good option here.
