Professors

Prospective

To enroll in the nursing program at my school, we first have to get into the institution itself. Once we get in, we have a full year of prerequisites. Then, in the fall of your sophomore year, you apply for the Nursing Program and are accepted in the spring of your sophomore year. This is when you start your clinical phase and hand on activities. It is really hard to get into the program, since it is really competitive.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

Being at a commuter school, some might say that there isn’t much of a social life on campus. Whether that be in between classes or a club meetings, but I look at it in an optimistic way. Being that NYIT is a commuter school, it forces you become more social and learn skills like communication and leadership in the sense where you can find a social life at this campus, but you just have to look for it and take action.

Current Student

I go to the long island campus, so it's very scenic during the fall, spring, and summer. Since everything is starting to open up again, student life is being revived and clubs are starting to be active, and activities/ events are starting to be held. It's a good way to meet new people and connect with students from other majors.

Current Student

I'm currently a freshman here. School offers many clubs and organizations to get involved in, which means there is always something to do.

Alumni

Overall, I loved my time at New York Tech. Some of the factors are diversity, professionalism, student life, and Greek life. When I first started at New York Tech, I wouldn't have ever imagined myself being involved on campus but as time went on, I was involved in multiple clubs and organizations, I also held numerous leadership positions among clubs and organizations.
