I loved the flexibility of the scheduling, with plenty of online options that fit around my work life, and the diverse programs made it easy to explore interests while knocking out general education credits for transfer students like me.

What I like the most at OCC is that its professors are knowledgeable, friendly, devoted, and helpful. They are always willing to answer students’ questions anytime they can. They always prepare their lectures carefully before coming to class. I was very satisfied with how they organized the lessons and managed time during classes .

Oakland Community College has multiple campuses within Oakland County. They have a wide range of certificates and degrees you can persue. Guidance is clear and user friendly. Having to get questions answered by a counselor has been a very speedy, painless, wait free, very friendly, understanding and smooth process.

All of my concerns and worries were no more and never prolonged, even down to registration and financial aid. All staff were inviting campuses are clean and safe. parking is painless and free. Interior and exterior premises of the campuses are clean, warm and welcoming.

Wait list process was not an issue for a class that may not have been available, they would add a new class to the roster. There is nothing I would change about Oakland Community College, I love it.

Thirdly, the student life is very fun. Since you can get to know your classmates well, it's a great place to go if you want to make friends. There are also a lot of clubs and sports that you can join, which is another great way to build connections. Finally, the campus itself is quite nice. It is big with lots of comfortable study areas.

The next thing I like about OCC is its campuses. They provide excellent atmosphere for students to study and doing group projects with quiet areas which I really enjoyed when I was taking classes at OCC. Libraries are great resources for students with their projects, and research papers.

Resources like academic counseling and financial aid were accessible and helpful, and the affordability can’t be beat; it’s a smart, low-cost way to build a strong foundation before moving to a four-year university. Overall, OCC empowered me to regain confidence in my academic journey and prepared me for more rigorous coursework. What I’d like to see change is easier accessibility to counseling via email and Zoom.
