The 1 extra class a year saved me stress during registration. Valley nights was my favorite events on campus.... Once you are accepted in the program things are less stressful and you are basically on your road or path to success. The aspects of this program are well the work is a lot, but I feel this is the right amount to prepare me for my career. The facility is always neatly cleaned and everything is presentable and easy to find as well.

Campus and vibes

Freshman

It’s a nice college, the application process is the easiest among all the colleges I applied to in the state of Michigan. The admission processing team gives you all the feedback you need as soon as you apply and they keep in touch with you. I can recommend this college to everyone all day all night because it made it easy for me to apply despite being in the pandemic....

I loved my experience @ SVSU. It was mom's alma mater, close to home, affordable, the best housing & a great education program. Living on campus I hardly ever had to use my car, but it was awesome that even as a freshman I could have one on campus.... Everything on campus is walking distance away & almost all the buildings are connected so I hardly ever walked outside in the cold. I interviewed & wrote an essay to apply for the honors program! I highly recommend it if you are debating.

Student

Small campus atmosphere but really a medium sized college. Everything is within walking distance.

Student

The campus is very well kept together and small enough for you to stay inside during the winter. The atmosphere of SVSU is very friendly.... You can easily make friends and don't have to worry about going anywhere alone. The class sizes are just like high school with an average size of 30 students.

Student

I’m excited to be starting my journey at Saginaw Valley State University soon! I’ve heard great things about the campus community, academic programs, and supportive environment. From everything I’ve seen and experienced so far, SVSU feels like a place where I can grow, learn, and make the most of my college years.
