I took dual enrollment classes and they were terrible. Overwhelming work load, unfriendly teacher, and borderline unrealistic deadlines. I almost dropped the class, the only reason I finished was it was free through my high school

Overall, my freshman year experience was nothing short of a great school year. Southern Arkansas University has been my home away from home. I was welcomed by all students and staff. There were constant weekly activities from the beginning of the year til the end. The classes and professors were exceptionally well organized, always there, and a huge help to my academics, they made everything so accessible and always well drawn out so almost no room for confusion.

I've met all different kinds of people and have had the opportunity to join and be a part of the many different clubs and fraternities the school offers. I also feel safe and secure while I'm at the university and the school definitely lives up to their motto, "Welcome Home!"

It is a really good environment with some really awesome people. My favorite part is getting involved and hanging out with the friends that I have made. No place is completely perfect, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Its a new experience since I'm from Florida. I like it though, everything is quiet. I like the track team there friendly and about business. The teacher are very cool they understand us, and they try their best to help us out as much as they could.

Although the schools moto of "feels like home" may seam cliché, from the moment you step onto campus you are greeted with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The school is also very affordable, but you still receive a quality degree. They have a wide range of majors and classes available to give you the most out if your time at SAU.

I would never recommend this university to anyone! All the five star reviews look like they were written by some marketing intern at the school because they contain the rhetoric that the administration pushes. The school doesn’t care about the students. The dorms have mold and pest issues unless you want to overpay to live in the campus apartments that also mold and pest issues.
