Campus and vibes

Current Student

I have had a great experience at St. Lawrence University. Small class sizes lead to great relationships with professors and really enable you to learn. It is a small school which creates a really close community on campus. There is also ample opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities. There is something for everyone.

Alumni

If you like small towns and beautiful campuses, you'll love St. Lawrence. It's a great place to make a tight knit group of friends and get involved in a wide range of activities. Small class sizes really allow you to get to know your professors which makes for a unique academic experience. The alumni network is especially helpful for finding a career path.

Alumni

Yes the school is located in Canton and it is cold and somewhat isolated but you know this going into the equation. The campus is beautiful and not overbuilt having kept its New England vibe while still offering some updated housing options. So not discount this school or it’s location. The location offered me incredible outdoor options and there are cool things to do besides Greek life or sports like the Outdoor Club and access to winter sport wonderlands. Academics are solid and job placement is solid because of the alumni network.

Current Student

Joining the St. Lawrence University varsity rowing team was the best decision I have ever made. I connected with my teammates and coaches and made friends and memories that will last a lifetime within 9 months. St. Lawrence has presented me with athletic and academic opportunities I could only dream of in high school and I feel like I have, and will continue to thrive socially and academically during my time there and beyond.

Current Student

St. Lawrence is a very niche school. Most people love it, but some might find its location to be challenging. This, however, is seen as an advantage by most students here. We all stay on campus for a majority of the semester (though there are plentiful trips to take off campus every week sponsored by clubs on campus) and this keeps us all close.
