Professors

I like the Communications program at this school. I would say the most important criteria for admission is having a good average, good as in anything over a 3.0. I think the program has a pretty normal application process. I didn't have to jump through a lot of hoops before I got my acceptance letter. I would just say to better your chances of admission, have a good letter of recommendation and make sure your grades are high enough to impress :)

Campus and vibes

Student

When I stepped on campus it felt like home. Everyone is so welcoming and look out for you. The resident Assistants care for you and make sure that you feel at home. The people I have meet are going to be longtime best friends. Brockport is very big into community service and helping those in need.

Student

My brother went here as well class of 2013 and his generation some whom have stuck around as brockport employees now will tell you firsthand it is not the same and not in a good way.

This is coming from someone who made straight As and is in the honor society and at classes at the same level, they have no problem failing you for no reason. For the obscene amount of money school costs, to be 130k in debt for such a sub par education isn't worth it. Make sure the school you pick fits you. I wouldn't believe this if I hadnt experienced it myself. I wanted to walk because I didn't get to during covid and they’ve ruined this experience to the extent I somt wish to go anywhere near this school, my opinion is that sour. It's a game.
