Professors

College Junior

I am a Nutrition major. It is not really that hard to get in. Every spring the Nutrition Department has the major's put in applications. Then you go before the faculty and are interviewed by them. Later on in the semester you will here from the department if you were accepted into one of the two programs.

College Junior

I did not encounter difficulties getting into my program, but that is because I had already received the highest merit scholarship you can get at my school in advance. It is not a separate application to get into the Schieffer School. Once you are accepted into TCU you can be a journalism major.

Alumni

TCU is a mixed bag. On one hand, its student life, athletics, and campus environment are amazing, if that is something that a prospective student cares about. On the other, it has a severe deficiency in its academics. This is a two-pronged issue: First, the general student body lacks any academic interest.

Campus and vibes

College Junior

TCU has been one of my top schools for a while now, the only setback is the finances and the cost of attendance. After applying to both the school and its nursing program, I was accepted into both. Because of this, I made it my goal to make this university with for me financially. Their admissions offices, counselors, and advisors have been nothing but kind to my family and I. Happy to schedule meetings with us to discuss my goal, they have done wonders for our financial circumstances and have given us a taste of just how pleasant the university and its community is.

Alumni

I would love to see TCU implement more diversity and less of a focus on Greek life. My undergrad experience was very one-note and I wish I had been exposed to more and learned more about the real world while I was there.

Freshman

As a student athlete living on campus, I have had a great experience at TCU so far. There were plenty of activities that welcomed me to campus and helped me connect with other students. In addition, the athletics facilities are incredible. My professors have been very accomadating and allowed me to adjust to balancing academics and athletics at a collegiate level. Overall, I find the campus community friendly and I have felt at home since moving in on the first day.

Sophomore

My experience at TCU has been awesome. It is truly such a joy EVERYTIME I go back from breaks. Fort Worth has really grown on me and it feels like home now. The dorms are actually really nice mostly because the majority are relatively new. The food is not bad, we are constantly building new dining halls and new dorms for incoming students so definitely something to look forward to. All of my professors have been awesome and really want to see me grow in my education which is great. Overall the university is so great, I can’t recommend it enough.

Junior

it’s okay very hard to fit in if you aren’t rich. I find it very difficult to fit in but the professors are very nice and very knowledgeable
