My first semester at Texas State went pretty good. One of the good things about the university, is that they are very welcoming to students. They have hundreds of events and organizations that anyone can be apart of. The square is walking distance from campus so that also helps with going out and exploring.

The community is renowned for its friendliness and warmth, making it easy for new students like me to feel at home.

Student

Texas State is such an outgoing and loud school, I would encourage anyone with an outgoing personality to come here! However It also is “too” much at some times and you can’t go anywhere in the town without seeing 1000 people, I prefer small towns and less crowded environments which is why I am transferring away. However the teachers and food are 10/10, the professors are always eager to help struggling students!
