Student reviews

Professors

Student

Evergreen’s unique teaching methods helped develop critical thinking and well-rounded individuals. If I could change one thing, it would be the campus flow. During my time there, the campus was in flux, entire halls and theaters were closed at odd times.

Student

Take a tour of the campus and make an appointment with an advisor to discuss your needs. If you are someone who enjoys professor feedback and is more of a collaborative learner, this may be the institution for you!

Campus and vibes

Freshman

The evergreen state college is a beautifully diverse college. I was homeless before getting campus housing and I visited while being homeless and I got the most kindness and support from the basic needs center ( the area I was visiting ) I have never felt like I belonged like I do here at evergreen. I feel wanted, needed, appreciated.

Senior

The diversity is wonderful and we get to be immersed with the local Native American Tribes. We get speakers to come in and talk about their education and what they peruse after college. It is based on the Arts which is great but I would like more informational education that is needed to become a teacher.

Alumni

Evergreen sits in a small capital city with the feel of a sleepy town. There isn't much of a night life, but there are fun spots if you look. The college encourages academic exploration, but your education has to be primarily self-driven.

Student

My time at Evergeen has been a challenge, but a good learning experience. I believe there can be some improvements made to the quality of life for on-campus students, as well as improvements to the general academics at Evergreen.

Student

Be open-minded and allow yourself to fully embrace in all this school has to offer.

Student

Make sure you know that you want to go here, this school is not for everyone. It is great for people who are willing to take chances as well as people who are willing to find out new things.

Cost and value

Student

Do your research! Make sure this is the type of education you are looking for, as it is not your average university. You don't want to waste your time and money if you're looking for something more traditional.
