I think that Tyler Junior College is a great place to get your education. They have so many resources to help students with many different things. I also hear that they have a great medical program, so if you’re interested in nursing or anything like that it would be perfect! I will say that living on campus took some getting used to, but I eventually adjusted and now I have a strong routine that’s been helping me adapt better.

Take as many classes as you can at TJC before entering a 4 year college. Be sure to communicate with your advisor and promptly ask any questions. If taking online courses, begin following the syllabus right away, I found the assignments easy to keep up with that way.

Overall my experience at TJC was a pretty good one! I went in with some basics already done which lead to me already being able to graduate in two weeks with my Associates in the Arts of Teaching! They made their program super easygoing and entertaining as well! All of the professors were really nice and made the classes fun!

The dual-credit options make it easier to get ahead on classes, and most instructors seem invested in helping students succeed.
