Student reviews

Professors

College senior

It is a very difficult program to get into. First, applicants must apply before their freshman year to get into the program. Next, there is a hard observational year where you just clean the ATR and observe the other students and certifieds. Then. towards the end of the year, there is an interview to get into the program or not

Campus and vibes

Freshman

During my first semester at UWL, the one thing that I had trouble with was being more independent and doing almost everything on my own. Things such as waking up early on time, scheduling meetings, deadline reminders, etc. were all things I was used to having done for me. However, now that I am living at college 3+ hours away from home, I had to start doing all of these things on time and by myself. I quickly learned how to do these things independently and it has impacted my academic success for the better.

Current Student

As a first-year student at UWL I'm enjoying my time here. There are many opportunities to get involved with communities on campus where you feel a sense of belonging. UWL offers everything from clubs, intermural activities, study groups, and sporting events year round, giving you a broad selection of choices! Not only does this campus allow you endless opportunities to get involved but their academics here are strong.

Alumni

Overall, my experience at UWL was fantastic! I attended UWL for four years of my undergraduate degree. During my time at UWL I was extremely involved on campus. I participated on the Women's NCAA Basketball Team, and was a member of many clubs including the Pre-PA club and the Diversity&Inclusion club.

Student

It was easy to make friends and the professors are easy to contact and are always willing to help. There are hundreds of different ways to get involved on campus and to meet people such as intramural sports teams, club teams, music groups, academic groups, and other organizations to help new students get comfortable in their new home. There are also many supports within campus such as counseling, academic advisors, and administration that are always willing to help in any circumstance.

Student

Overall, I have enjoyed attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I have connected with the majority of my professors and classmates. I have also met people through clubs and organizations. Because I'm a Marketing major, I am involved in the American Marketing Association and Women and Business.
