Student reviews

Professors

Current Student

One thing I’ve really valued is the diversity of the student body and the supportive environment created by faculty and staff. There are great academic resources and opportunities for hands-on learning, like internships and research projects, which help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience.

Current Student

The one thing I really loved about Parkside is that every student gets the opportunity to meet their professors and really get to know them. There aren't any big lecture halls so the teachers will remember who you are as long as you introduce yourself to them. I felt really comfortable with all of my professors and it made me feel like I was able to talk to them whenever I needed help.

Student

I don't see many employers recruiting on campus, but a degree from most Wisconsin schools is looked at positively. We have great academic programs here with professors who care. It was easy for me to find an internship, but many of my friends aren't involved in internships.

Student

I have always struggled with maintaining any type of course load. It always seems so overwhelming, which leads me to put it off. In the end it makes it much more overwhelming. Parkside offers breakout rooms and lots of space to help me study. I will go with friends and it helps me motivate myself, especially with rooms that have a whiteboard.

Campus and vibes

Student

My experience at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside has been a positive one overall. I’ve appreciated the small class sizes, which allow for more personalized attention from professors, and the campus itself is beautiful—nestled in a quiet, natural setting that makes it easy to focus.
