Professors

Student

I had a strong start both academically and athletically. I joined the football program with passion and determination, quickly adapting to the collegiate level of play. The coaching staff and athletic department have been incredibly supportive, fostering my growth on and off the field. Academically, I excelled, earning a spot on the Dean’s List in his first year. This accomplishment reflects both my work ethic and the academic support provided by the university. Utica has created a balanced environment where student-athletes like myself can thrive in the classroom while pursuing their athletic goals. I am proud of my progress and grateful for the positive atmosphere Utica has provided during this important first year. Truly looking forward to what lies ahead in my journey.

Student

The campus has a calm and peaceful feel. As a science student, the laboratories I've observed are excellent, and the exchanges between instructors and students are meaningful and effective. The administrative staff are kind, welcoming, and consistently ready to offer assistance. I would rate them a perfect 10/10.

Campus and vibes

Other

Growing up in Utica my whole life, Utica University simply felt like home. The tuition is highly reasonable for local students, and the area is nice for college students. I loved my professors here and the small class sizes. The direct entry OT program is also one of the few in New York.

Sophomore

It was a nice enough place, with medical and shopping nearby as needed. Food wasn't bad. The area was iffy; my car got broken into at one point. The school closed a lot of the campus places towards the end of the year. Professors were good though for the most part, and there's tons of support as needed.

Student

Overall, my experience has been quite good here. I feel that the academics are excellent. But I do not feel connected to my peers as much as I would like. This is largely because there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm and isolation among the students themselves, and it is difficult to connect in a meaningful way.

Student

Mixed feeling about my experience. My main takeaways were that some professors were good and some were less good. Admission wasn’t anything great and so was the dorms. The tuition and housing price was way more than it should be. Some great takeaways were that it’s a small school so you get familiar with a lot of people fast and the campus was pretty nice.

Student

Only go to Utica if you plan on having no social life. If you want classes that are impossible to register for that’s good for you too. They only offer a VERY small amount of classes (you will 90% likely not get all of the classes you need to graduate with).
