Student reviews

Professors

Senior

Education at William Paterson is lacking. Professors are inconsistent. Students are held to a very low standard. Administration/faculty is very unhelpful and often hard to reach. Advisors are slow to respond. Frequently when attempting to reach different members of administration they don’t even bother to respond to email. Contradictory information is giving out depending on who you speak to within administration/admissions/advisors. Hard to find someone helpful in regards to application/enrollment. More energy is spent on diversity programs than on education and advisement.

Sophomore

The applying process was extremely easy, especially since there was no essay required. I got accepted as a finance major, then applied and got into the honors part of the college. I strongly recommend applying for the honors college, at it not only greatly increases your academic experience, you also get better housing and more in scholarship. My freshman year I resides in Hugh Mountain East dorms, which I strongly recommend.

Sophomore

My advisor is the only reason I gave it 4 stars, as I seem to know more about my major and the program than she does, not helping me very much.

Senior

I pray that my last two semesters are a breeze. I called to ask about scholarships because I am an honor student. I was told that the university doesn't accept it for online students, which was another lie. I received an email about scholarships for online students who lived in New Jersey. Please save your time and money.

College sophomore

There are plenty of scholarships available for students. Unfortunately, details about these scholarships are limited. When I finished my application as a transfer student, I tried to apply for a transfer student scholarship and I was denied because I applied too late, even though the transfer student application deadline was way later. I wish I had more access to scholarship information before the deadlines.
