High school days is the best way to meet prospective classmates, other students and faculty, and it will really give you a feel for the atmosphere and whether or not this college is a good fit for you.

While York is a private college and, therefore, more expensive than other colleges, it's totally worth the money. Very few of the freshmen have to share a dorm and upperclassmen can live in very nice 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments on campus. Plus, there are numerous scholarships available for various activities and academics here at York.

About York University

York University contracts with Blue Knight Security to provide campus safety and security. Security personnel can be reached at 402-363-2640. The university also has campus security policies in place, and students are encouraged to report any crimes or incidents to 911 and Residence Life staff or the Dean of Students.

The Honors Program at York College provides academic, cultural, and social opportunities to enhance the intellectual development of motivated students. The program offers challenging classroom discussions, seminars, lectures, cultural programs, and research opportunities. Students can complete an Honors Thesis or present a Poster Presentation at a Professional Conference.

York University has a welcoming and diverse community with a uniquely global perspective, with over 8,700 international students from 160+ countries.
