Student reviews

Professors

Current Student

This is an excellent school. Have no problems whatsoever and the faculty are great. The only challenge is that sometimes finding an internship is very difficult and they do not provide suggestions for doing so. However, they do give some online resources where students

Alumni

ALU has given me an opportunity I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. I am now a practicing lawyer, something I never thought I'll be. The school program allowed me to keep my job and take care of my kids while studying, the faculty was very supportive.

Current Student

ALU's JD program is really great. I was able to earn a JD in 4 years and spent $45k altogether. To all of the other cry babies out here, earning a JD degree is hard, and you need to work for it, it's a great school but you need to put the work in order to actually earn a JD.

Current Student

The material is relevant and on point. I was able to go through the full 4 years while working 30 hours a week. Overall I recommend ALU's JD to everyone who wants to keep their job, but is also hard-working enough to study because the bar exam isn't going to be easy no matter where you go.

Current Student

This is school is an excellent option for those who work full time and are still motivated to get a law degree. The school provides all the necessary resources for success but much of the success also depends on the student's natural intelligence, dedication to putting in the necessary time and the ability to self-learn in a directed environment.

Alumni

ALU is a great program with a lot to off. It is not easy, but it is doable for the average working individual. Classes are about twice a week, all lectures are recorded, and Professors are always willing and able to help if there is ever a problem.

Current Student

I am a first year student. Expected graduation date is 2019. I like this program, because of the method of instruction adopted by the school, namely "one class at a time". If you are someone like me, who works full-time, such method will allow you to have just enough time to complete one course at a time, and to steadily progress towards graduation, without needing to sacrifice one priority for another, namely work for school or vice versa. It is very convenient.

Cost and value

Alumni

I enjoyed every minute and studied in the car with the recordings made available from on-line lectures. I also created study groups and I am still in touch with those students, many of whom have passed the California Bar and are in practice now. Since I worked full-time as a litigation paralegal while going to ALU, I could pay my tuition on an ongoing basis and graduated without any debt.

Alumni

We all had something to contribute because we are all working adults, as opposed to full time students. If you are interested in getting a law degree, but cannot afford to take out a loan or any time off of work, do consider ALU. They can even put you in contact with current students if you would like a better perspective on it. Best of luck everyone!
