Well as of now the Child Development Program is impacted. When i applied to the school, on the application I declared my major there so it wasn't hard for me to get into it. Since the program is impacted and with the budget cuts some challenges in the program are getting the required classes you need or just even getting a class. I would recommend that once filling out the application for admission to declare a major right there and then and just talk to counselors during the school year so they can help you more if that is the major for you and you can declare there as well.

Student

Cal State LA is a good school, don't fully listen to the negative views. I entered the university around Fall 2022 out of my charter school and got the best education with the best teachers in the College of Business & Economics. The small classrooms provide a great opportunity for students to interact with their instructors and peers.

Alumni

CSULA offers numerous opportunities for students seeking to engage in new educational experiences. There are many organizations students can join to enhance their personal lives and find connections to potential careers.

Alumni

I picked Cal State LA to attend a school in a diverse area and I was not disappointed. I thrive in diversity and was able to learn more about my own culture and my identity. I will forever be grateful I chose to attend a school in LA. I feel like I was in an environment that truly helped me grow as a person while working on my degree.

Alumni

It was an okay experience. I liked this school thought because it was very local to me, a lot of people referred to it as a commuter school. I know there were many clubs to join, but I was not interested at the time. Looking back I think it would have been nice to join one that was related to my major/career to help further my knowledge on what to do.

Student

The campus is filled with diversity, amazing professors, and an accepting student life. Campus and advisers help students to the fullest degree, which allows students to navigate their classes and degree plan in the easiest way possible.

Student

Just apply as soon as possible and get that application in before the deadline. Things take time so give it time.

I haven't had any problem with the financial aid distribution. It is best to enroll in direct deposit to ensure that you get your financial aid. For those who don't know how to fill apply for financial aid there are people who can assist you during application time.
