Cheyney University is a great small HBCU college that focuses on getting its students ready for life after college. It’s campus is very safe and historical, being that it’s the first HBCU in the United States of America.

Current Student

Cheyney itself has many pros, but some cons of the university is that there are some poor professors, lack of a variety of food when it comes to people who don’t eat meat, problems with the dorms and housing units and not so great sports teams (their football team was also cut, so this would not be a great school for football players).

Current Student

You need to know what you want, what you need to get there and keep your head straight. Don't expect some one to hand you a schedule and say OK, keep up with this and your done in four years, that's not gonna work here. DO keep yourself involved because the staff always wants to be involved with you, your life and your success.

Current Student

Try to make sure that you don't just go with a general major because then you will just get lost in the crowd. DO take as many internships, exchange programs, honors programs and anything else that interests you as possible, because there is no much going on unless you want to drive out to West Chester University.

Current Student

If you come in with a positive attitude then you will be ok.

Stay focus for your success is in your hands.
