Student reviews

Professors

Student

As a student with learning disabilities, I must have some support system to help me understand my work. Not time management. My high school recommended this school because of its "services," It turns out it's just an inconvenient meeting with someone to go over how not to be tardy.

Student

The classes are easy, the professors are always there for help, and there are a ton of opportunities to receive extra help in the learning center or writing center! Tutors are always available in the library if you need help and there are even academic counselors that will help you stay on track and focused on your work! Activities and events happen nearly every week around campus, so there are always things to do when you're bored!

Campus and vibes

Current Student

My experience at Dean College as a freshman has been positive overall. Coming into college, I was unsure about what to expect, but the welcoming campus environment made the transition easier. The smaller class sizes allow me to connect with professors and feel comfortable asking for help when I need it. This has helped me stay on track academically and feel more confident in my work.

Student

My second biggest issue, respect is not encouraged. In fact, I've had issues with hallmates (as I was in a single) and instead of discussing it with the other hall mate the RA recommended I ignore the harassment and bullying. The school didn't really even check on the freshmen dorms, the girl's bathroom stalls were literally coming off the divider of the stall, screws on the floor.

Student

Next issue, alcohol. Even in "dry" dorms the kids are blasting music, and drinking alc behind doors. I felt very out of place and uncomfortable just using the common area because kids were drunk or high. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR NOT VERY GOOD BENEFITS IF YOU ARE OUT OF STATE.

Student

I gotta say, Dean College has been a game-changer for me. As a men's basketball player, it's more than just the court; it's the whole vibe. I love how I can get it done on and off the court, balancing my academics and my passion for the game. The support system here is unreal – coaches, professors, and teammates all pushing me to be my best.

Student

I absolutely love Dean College. My experience thus far has been nothing but positive. Every single person on this campus is kind and welcoming and encouraging. The professors provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students. The small class sizes allow for each professor to get to know the students on a personal level, unlike most colleges, which is a huge factor as to why I love it here. Overall, this school has changed me as a person in such a short time and there is not much I would ever change about it.
