Campus and vibes

Current Student

I enjoy my time and experience at ELAC, their staff and resources make it easy to obtain the education we need and deserve. Their counselors are very straightforward about what classes we need for our major so no time nor money is wasted on unnecessary classes which is extremely helpful for us low class students who don't have the extra funds for classes we don't need.

Student

I like how there is many club opportunities, you can join one or even start your own. I also really like the recourses they have, the math tutor lab is really helpful especially as a stem major!

Freshman

Something I like about East Los Angeles College is that there is a lot of help, both from the teachers and personal help to the students. This part made me fall in love with the school and because we always have support in whatever it is. This college is something wonderful since it has everything necessary for me. Its people are very kind and always treat everyone with respect. It is a good option to stay at East Los Angeles College.

Sophomore

I like how everyone is so kind whether you’re walking to class or need help with any work someone is always there.

Junior

I was nervous to start college and thought it would be overwhelming but being here at East Los Angeles College it has shown me that I can do anything I set my mind to. I was encouraged to try new things out as well as try out other options I never believed I could.

Junior

As a Vietnamese born person who has just settled with my family in America, I have to face many challenges including language barriers, cultural differences, and the fear of not catching up with my classmates. I often sat quietly in class, listening more than speaking, for fear of mispronunciation or using incorrect words.

Other

ELAC is a large campus. There are many metro bus stops nearby which makes commuting easy. There are also many business nearby where you can study or apply for a job!
