Student reviews

Professors

Student

FIDM is really shady. They got rid of over 15+ majors without telling students or faculty until the 2nd week of the spring quarter. For the first meeting regarding the new changes, the dean spoke about his bowtie for an entire hour.

Student

it's my 1st year at FIDM and it has been great I love most of my classes and I learn something new every day I can't wait to continue my education here, especially with the friends I've made.

Student

Worth every penny !! Love this school because I feel like I am learning true industry standards and techniques. You really have to be 100% involved because I will admit it is a hard school but it is worth it.

Student

As a First Year at FIDM, it is literally everything a fashion opportunist could look for in a school! The courses not only supply basic knowledge in fashion but also take it a step further into color, design, advertising, and more to increase your skills when the opportunity comes. Unlike other schools, this institution definitely attracts opportunities for students to entail in their career.

Student

I really enjoyed how personal the experience is at FIDM. Since the class sizes are so small, you get to really know everyone in your program and feel more connected to your professors. They are also very devoted in getting you employed as soon as possible after graduating, which is really nice!

Campus and vibes

College Student

An Overcrowded Private School – At FIDM, admission requires a project related to your intended major, multiple recommendations, meetings with a counselor and an interview, and yet it seems, anyone can get in. My years at FIDM were quite an experience. I was surrounded by wealthy girls who loved shopping and hated school; they could afford to not take their studies seriously, using social networking sites on the preciously few computers in the labs.

Student

I have had excellent communication with everyone over the phone. Once I went to the open house I was even more blown away. The school focuses on creativity and providing students with great real-life experiences. The vast library provides many resources for students. Overall the experience I have had with FIDM has been great.

Cost and value

Student

FIDm is an expensive school. I say this because what you are getting for the price just does not match up. The campus is 2 buildings so you are not going to get the typically college scene if that's what you are lookiing for. The campus is located in Downtown LA and in any Downtown area you need to be aware of your surroundings and understand that it does not look like what influencers and content creater make it out to be.
