Study hard. This college has so many opportunities for you to shine and to transfer to amazing schools, EVEN ON THE EAST COAST. Get good grades and join the Honors Program. You won't regret it. Get involved on campus and join one of the hundred clubs offered here. Don't forget to do community service and apply for alot of scholarships - there are many offered for community college students, even after graduation.

Student

Take advantage of everything on campus, including the Transfer Center, the Tutoring Center, the counselors, and the library. They are all amazing resources. Do not forget to go to all of your professor's office hours. It will do you a world of good.

Student

Join the TAP program. Transfer Achievement Program. You get extra counseling whenever you need it, and you get to be apart of a great program on campus.

Student

If you're not sure what you want to major in, community college is the place to start. If you have interests than go after them, take fun classes and you might be surprised how well the field pays if you choose to make it a career. Make college your own, and don't let anyone dampen your memories.

Student

Do it! Go, even just to get as many classes done in two years as you can before transferring. FC has a TAG agreement with most of the UCs in the state, so you've actually got a better chance of transferring to the school you want if you keep a strong GPA. The great teachers and the amount of money you save doesn't hurt either!

Student

Visit the transfer center early in your time there and visit often, they will help ensure you meet your goal, if transfer is indeed your goal. Visit your professors during office hours, they want you to be successful and can become valuable assets as mentors who may provide you with letters of recommendation needed for graduate school or jobs. Get involved in a club, service learning, honors societies, honors programs, sports, or academic success programs. Use your resources - there are many on campus.

Student

Campus and vibes

Current Student

I’m currently attending and it’s honestly a really good community college. They offer so many great opportunities to their students like tutoring, free food, transportation, and more. However because it is a community college, there is little to no student life. But that’s expected as it is not a UC or Cal State. I do love this campus though overall because of the opportunities and professors. There are so many great professors here that truly want to see their students succeed.

Student

Arrive early the first few weeks of class as campus parking can be difficult at the beginning of the semester. There is also free parking available on Berkeley, as well as, 2 hr. parking option along residential streets on the front side of the campus on Chapman. Fullerton College also provides 1-day parking passes in the student lots for $2. Review your professors on ratemyprofessor.com. You can also often rent or purchase some of your textbooks for cheaper at Little Professor Bookstore in Placentia.
