Student reviews

Professors

Freshman

I was able to attend Highland Community College as a CollegeNOW student; this program allows high school students to attend Highland full-time while also receiving high school credits. My professors and classmates were very intelligent, kind, and open. My classes challenged my thinking and allowed me to grow academically.

Campus and vibes

Freshman

For me, my original plan was to graduate high school and immediately attend a 4-year university, that was until I discovered all of the opportunities that come with Highland. Highland offers an endless amount of support in on campus jobs, tutoring, support staff, campus resources, mentoring, scholarships, career services, advising, and so much more! I am saving a lot of money by attending Highland first and then transferring to a 4-year. There are many ways to get involved on campus and many fun student activities are hosted. Community college being a second choice is a stigma, and I am very happy that I choose Highland.

Sophomore

I first came to Highland because I had earned dual credit from classes in high school, meaning I had 9 credits that counted towards my degree before I even started my first semester as a college student. I quickly found myself highly involved in a lot of student activities and clubs that helped me build long-lasting friendships that I still cherish almost 8 years later!

Student

My overall experience at Highland is really good. There are a lot of helpful resources there that have helped me throughout my time. All of my professors that I’ve had have been really great and really helpful and understanding. I don’t really have anything bad to say about Highland. I think it’s a really great school.
