Campus and vibes

Alumni

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is exactly what I needed and I’m glad I made the decision to begin my studies there, before transferring to a 4-year university. The school offers the usual amenities of any college including: housing, meal plans, extracurriculars, service and interest clubs, as well as a handful of study abroad programs! There is also an honors program, where students who meet specific qualifications are allowed to enroll in “honors only” courses! All at lower costs and with smaller class sizes, than at a typical 4-year university.

Student

Really good learning environment for me. Class sizes aren't huge so it's a more engaging learning style. I've been to Dale Mabry campus, Ybor City campus, Brandon campus, and South Shore. South Shore is really nice scenery, but Dale Mabry was my favorite as I stayed in student housing, apartment-style, called Hawks Landing.

Cost and value

Alumni

Satisfaction Guaranteed – Upon entering HCC, I was unfamiliar with financial aid and was paying for my classes out of pocket. The classes were affordable, but I was barely providing for my household. When I found out about the financial aid process, I immediately applied;I figured if I didn't qualify, I would be in the same predicament.

Literally half the cost of USF but with the same classes

Student

For in-state residents, the price per class hour is hard to beat.

Student

You're getting more than what you pay for. Since it's a community college, the price per semester is cut drastically, but you're still getting classes that are transferable to a university!
