Student reviews

Campus and vibes

Freshman

IUP is a pretty nice place if you're used to small town life. The school is small enough that you can almost know everybody in your graduating class. It has a lovely campus with decent facilities for all majors but it does lack in some regards. First, the dining hall is honestly my biggest gripe with the school, it's pretty small in proportion to the population so it can sometimes be hard to find a seat if you find yourself having to go during the common hour. Food is not bad but it isn't great either. Campus life is pretty good as various organizations try to get students to interact with each other at different events throughout the year but they never seem to take off as the people there don't really want to do much. If you're a big partier who's pursuing Greek life, IUP is a very good choice, fraternities and sororities are probably the most active on campus.

Freshman

I love the connection have made at IUP. The staff want to support their students and help them be successful. There are so money clubs students can join to be involved. IUP is not just a party school. I do not enjoy going out but I have friends and clubs that are just as fulfilling.

Student

IUP offers constant activities and events for you to get engaged with. Whether its clubs, organizations, speakers, or just general events IUP has it. The campus is smaller which makes you feel more connected with your professors and peers. The athletic scene here is very well and IUP puts a lot of investment in every sports team on campus.
