Student reviews

Professors

Student

Laguna College of Art & Design is a great affordable school for those interested in the arts, it has a wide verity of majors and scholarships available for students of any background. The best part about the school is the diversity and professors, many classes are fun and engaging with much to learn.

Student

LCAD has the potential to be one of the best art schools out there. While it does have its own issues that come with being a school (some professors are better than others, scheduling issues), the worthwhile of it really varies person to person. Overall, your experience is up to you and how much you want to grow as an artist and person

Campus and vibes

Student

I like that it's a small, close-knit community, personalized attention from professional faculty, and you find great mentors to guide you through your college experience.

Student

Laguna College of Art and Design is a great school that fuels creativity and pushes for expertise in the arts. The campus feels very safe and always is very clean.

Student

I enjoy LCAD a great deal. This is a very fine education and I feel that it is preparing me very well for the entertainment industry. I do feel that the social aspect of LCAD is a but difficult, there are three small campuses spread along the main road and there is very minimal student housing so having to commute and classes being so separated makes it difficult to thrive socially.

Cost and value

Student

One of the best schools I have ever been to for every reason imaginable. People and resources to help you get careers in what you want are insanely helpful

Student

Good teachers, strong community. Quality of Art Chairs vary. Game Art is strong but could use an earlier advancement review for students that know they aren't going to go into 3D-intensive work. Tuition, housing, and area are very expensive.
